Technology meets tradition at St. James Winery. A state-of-the art winemaking facility, paired with a 35 year history, has positioned St. James Winery as the Midwest's leading winery. Producing more than 130,000 cases of champion wines each year, the latest technology ensures our quality products and meets the growing demand for our wines.

In the cellar specially outfitted, stainless steel tanks are designed to hold more than 400,000 gallons of wine in a temperature stable environment. A new computer-operated wine press presses, to winemaker specifications, up to 60 tons of grapes at once. Daily, a fully equipped laboratory tests the wines and measures the fermentation process. Progressive vineyard practices are in place on our 160+ acres of prime vineyard properties in the Ozark Highlands.

Grapes of character and distinction--unique varieties that are special to Missouri and the Midwest, including Norton, Vignoles, Seyval, Chardonel, Concord, and Catawba--fill our vineyards.

As pioneers in the renaissance of the Missouri wine industry, the Hofherr family's hard work and commitment to quality shows in every bottle we produce. Whether you're a wine lover or a tasting novice, the St. James Winery portfolio contains more than two dozen wines of distinction and covers the entire spectrum from sweet to semi to dry wines.
